Every choice I have made was in response to forces beyond my control, lacking any kind of direction. But now, reunited with my friends, Kainda and Em, and in the company of new friends, Wright and Kat, I am taking control of the chaos and choosing my own direction -- down. Deeper than the realm of Hades, the most feared of the Nephilim, deeper than the gates of Tartarus and deeper than any human being has ventured since the beginnings of the human race. My goal is simple: I don't know what it does or how it works, but I know the Nephilim fear it and that Nephil, possessing the body of Ninnis, will do anything to stop me from recovering it.

The path will be dangerous and the cost might be great, but my path is clear: Kindle Edition , pages. To see what your friends thought of this book, please sign up. To ask other readers questions about The Last Hunter , please sign up.

Outside the doors of Tartarus, they run into friends who help them get to the human forces preparing for battle on the beaches of Antarktos. Really, the series just keeps getting better and better. The revelations are astounding! Definitely read this book. Hopefully after reading the previous books in the series. Jan 29, Dustin rated it it was amazing. If you are reading this, unsure of whether you should read this, be assured, buy it! It's got action, dinosaurs, intense fight and flight scenes, like able characters, awesome storytelling, some hair-raising scariness- all you could want in an awesome epic!

For an added experience, read "Antarktos Rising" in between part 2: Pursuit and part 3: Then prepare for the Jeremy Robinson floodgates to open, he has a ton of other winners-check them all out! Apr 15, Jelios Ataliakrouso added it Shelves: Theirs always time to go for a little adventure, even when Humans are in the process of being eliminated. More so now of all times, our young king Solomon Not the one with riches is now stepping on very dangerous ground, where hes fighting god above all other gods, or above all nephilims the father.

We find now with a very unreal atmosphere where evil is creeping in a world of untouched corruption. This it very unreal indeed. We also get some insight on Salomon's teacher, ultimately, this book Theirs always time to go for a little adventure, even when Humans are in the process of being eliminated.

We also get some insight on Salomon's teacher, ultimately, this book was well written as those before it, nothings wrong, if anything, its only got better, their is no loss of momentum, and the romance fits oddly well above all else. Jan 13, Rian Martin rated it it was amazing.

When I found out about these books, it didn't interest me as much as previous books of Robinson's had, I held off on getting it till I was finished with the others. Got the first one and immediately got the rest. This series blew me away, I loved it. What I thought was going to be more of a young adult series was one of the best I have ever read.

It sucked me in, I loved each character and couldn't wait for more.

It is brilliant and epic read and I just know that when the series ends at the end of this year I will have to get them all out and read as one I have asked the author to stop writing such terrific, unputdownable books but he has told me that he can't help it - I ask you, what a cheek LOL Read this series - it is so unusual and different - but you must start with Antarktos Rising.

The Last Hunter: Lament

May 15, Gautam Surath rated it liked it. I clearly see this book as a blatant attempt to extend this franchise. We follow Solomon in his chase of the Shofar which I am quite sure will turn out to be a dude. But while this iteration was strictly not needed it still has enough to like about it without taking away from the central themes. We meet some new characters and lose some too. The experiments on Solomon have also produced some very interesting results and some memorable characters. All in all time well spent! This amazing story is full of small details between the lines of gore that allow us to envision the disfiguring nature of death.

The narrative's pace is full of passion bringing a gripping story to life. I won't refer much about the story itself because you need to read it from the beginning. For me, Jeremy Robinson is becoming my favorite writer and - as Spock would say - I just hope his life as a writer is "long and prosperous". The human race might have remained safe. And the fate of the world might not rest on my shoulders. Had I been warned They took me from my family, from my friends-from everything I knew, and stole my innocence. They brought me to a world beneath the surface of Antarctica, where I was broken and trained by a hunter named Ninnis.

He served the ancient Nephilim: I no longer exist. My kidnapping, breaking and corruption at the hands of the half-human, half-demon Nephilim began the journey to nothingness. I had hoped to one day rejoin my loved ones in the outside world, but before I realized it, 20 years had passed. Time is a distance I cannot traverse. If there is any memory of me, it is distant.

Worse, the spirit of Nephil, used my connection with the continent to decimate the surface world. I've done horrible things in the past, but I'm now responsible for the deaths of billions. In all the days since my kidnapping, breaking and transformation into a hunter at the hands of the half-human, half-demon Nephilim, my life has been a mass of chaotic actions and reactions to the horrors of the Antarctic underworld. I have battled unnatural monsters, fled for my life, and sacrificed everything - or thought I had, when I stepped through the gates of Tartarus.

Every choice I have made was in response to forces beyond my control, lacking any kind of direction. The past few years have been a mixture of torture, painful growth and sometimes, pushing its way through all the darkness - joy. I have made friends and allies, brothers and sisters, mentors and Kainda, who is something else entirely.
