Christians, according to God's Word, are to be faithful stewards of the mysteries of God. The word mystery is easily defined. It is a new truth that God reveals.

Paul rejoiced because of his sufferings. He was a minister of the gospel v.
19 Bible verses about God Revealing Mysteries
But that service brought him suffering. Paul was rejoicing present tense while writing, although he was suffering cf. He did what Christ taught. That is unlikely for the following reasons. His afflictions were suffered while serving Christ. The persecution was, therefore, ultimately directed towards Christ. Paul moved from reflecting on his circumstances to his stewardship of the message. It conveyed the idea of stewardship. This statement about the message identified both its source and goal.
The Mystery of God
The message, which Paul preached, was not self-originated. The message was to be preached in its fullness. Only then could it fulfill its purpose in the world — saving both Jew and Gentile cf. An incomplete gospel is a perverted gospel cf. This message was undiscoverable by man.

God, however, revealed it. God revealed the message because he willed to do so. This is the essence of the praise rendered to Christ in Revelation 5: We have fellowship with him, thereby we have fellowship with the Father 1 Jn. As Christ fills the mind and heart, he enables the will and motives. God accomplishes, in Christ, what no mere ethical restriction or requirement can do Rom. A Christian will not only see God in all his glory, he will also share in the glory of Christ. Click for details Our favorite Bible-marking pens!
What is the most challenging Bible question? The Mystery of God by Jason Jackson.
The International Critical Commentary: Samuel Driver, et al. The Tyndale New Testament Commentaries: The Epistles of Paul to the Colossians and Philemon. This is his mystery. Our God also has a mystery. This phrase, the mystery of God, is found in Colossians 2: Ephesians also tells us that this mystery is one that was hidden in God 3: God hid this mystery in Himself and did not tell anyone about it. Moreover, this God who hid the mystery in Himself is the God who created all things.
Hence, this mystery was hidden in God, who created all things. This is recorded in Ephesians 3.
In reading the Bible, most people can easily find speaking concerning things like humility, patience, and peace, but they cannot easily see the speaking concerning the mystery of God. Thus, this mystery was hidden in God, who created all things. Although He created all things and man, He did not tell man of this mystery. It was not until the New Testament, when the apostles and prophets came, that He revealed it to them.
THE MYSTERY OF GOD—CHRIST
These prophets were not of the Old Testament but of the New Testament. Even in the New Testament age there are still many people who do not know why God created the heavens, the earth, and man. Until this day it is still a mystery to many people. Although they have their religious thoughts, concepts, and living, and although they also worship and serve God, their service is not something of revelation but is something of religion.
Why does God save man? Is His intention merely for man to enjoy peace today and go to heaven in the future? All these thoughts are religious concepts. Please bear in mind that God does not save us merely for us to enjoy peace; rather, He saves us for a purpose hidden in Himself. For example, why did God create the universe?
Why did He create all things? Initially, He did not tell anyone about all these things. God hid this purpose in Himself, so it became a mystery. He created the heavens, yet the angels in the heavens did not know why He did it.
