Views home as a peaceful sanctuary, and develops this theme in a few main rooms of the house - how to cook and eat with mindfulness in the dining room and kitchen, etc. He describes a "living room" as a place of togetherness where the family can enjoy each other's company without other distractions television, computer, etc.
I realized that this is exactly what our dining room is - where we sit and talk, where we play games, where we occasionally have meals. Being aware of that room's function -- and treating that function with real respect -- seems inherently useful. May 04, Ben rated it really liked it. I have a great deal of respect for Thich Nhat Hanh, but this work leaves some to be desired.
