Throw in some sexual tension when both of them fall ill and you have a fantastic read by the incomparable E. One person found this helpful 2 people found this helpful. One person found this helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Chloe and Rich were tempted, smart and challenged to overcome the dislike of each other. Great read and well written to hold my attention and guess what would be happening next. This story of Dickie Warren and Chloe is a sweet story.
The two former high school rivals reunite to make a sweet and sassy love story. Better watch your tongue and attitude towards people you never know when the will be your boss! Dickie is a lovable guy and Chloe is a good person it just takes a while for them to realize it about the other.
The book was too short and not to my liking. It was way too expensive for an hour read.

I loved reading A Fine Line! It jus shows how life works out for you and when you least expect to find love it happens! It was okay, didn't keep me completely enthralled. Wasn't a couldn't put down book. I had a few moments that I would just skip through. Scandal forces Florence to give up everything she holds dear and travel to the far side of the world where she learns the real value of love.

Seduction On the Cards tried to set up a reporter vs. Kerrigan "Kerri" Lush was assigned to interview an anti-gambling crusader at the last second when the regular reporter had to go to the hospital. Kerri was expecting an older grandpa in a suit. What she got instead was a handsome stud in motorcycle leathers: Alex Beaufort, who's also an incorrigible flirt.
Kerri fell hard for the Frenchman and learned his past was bitter enough to make him the man he is today. Alex found Kerri to be tempting, but when he also found she carried a debt AND has a minor gambling addiction, and her happy facade hides some deeply buried sadness, is she someone to stay away from Somehow I don't feel the connection between the two for this one.
They are pretty much opposites attract, and the flirting is fine, but a connection between the two beyond the flirting I just don't feel it. This story is set in New Zealand but the hero is French.
I liked him well enough. I have 11 so I have read a lot of her books. This one has a young woman as the heroine. She is financially irresponsible, has a gambling problem that she doesn't acknowledge, is rude, judgmental, just not a very nice person in my opinion.
From the first I took a dislike to her and it sort of ruined the story for me. I just could not, for the life of me figure out why a man like the hero would be attracted to her - except for the big boobs. She was so snarky and hateful to him and rude. She wears high wedge sandals to go sailing. He suggest a more suitable shoe, after she asks if she is dressed ok. She informs him she will be fine, she can walk on anything. Up to this point in the story she has almost face planted 3 times because of her pick of shoe wear. The character just ruined the story for me. I really had to agree with the reviews in the 1 star reviews.
I think they said it better than I did.
I didn't down mark the story simply because I didn't like the heroine. But I couldn't give it my usual 5 stars for all the other books I have read. So, I would suggest that you read and see what you think. I certainly don't want to discourage anyone from reading the book because I didn't like the heroine. I was not paid for this review. I am not an author nor do I know one.
A Thin Line: Love/Hate Relationships ( books)
I am not kin to this writer. I am a reader and this is just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. I didn't really care for this book. I didn't like Kerri. She always seemed to be irritated or angry. She was somewhat brash. I did like Alex, but I couldn't understand what he wanted with Kerri. This book received a number of five star reviews, so some people obviously enjoyed it. I hate to say that I was not one of them.
I didn't hate it, but I definitely didn't like it. I skimmed through some of it. I don't know if it was that the book was boring or the h was so unlikable that I didn't care. I am glad this was not the first book I read by this author.
A Thin Line: Love/Hate Relationships
I have enjoyed her other books much more. I would say read and judge for yourself. One person found this helpful. I enjoyed this from first to last. It is entertaining, sexy and at times very funny. Kris Pearson has a wonderful way with words. An added pleasure is the immaculate presentation, spelling and formatting of the book. There is not one word in the whole book to jerk me out of my reading pleasure.
I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to read something a little bit different. Kerri wowed me from the first page. She's sassy, fun and flirty. And it doesn't hurt any that the sexy Frenchman is a hero to die for. Kerri is the first to admit she has a slight problem with gambling I look forward to reading other books by Kris Pearson I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it, either. I just couldn't seem to stay interested for very long, and I think that's because of some the dialogue.
It just didn't seem to jive with me, felt a little off. And truthfully, I really didn't care for either of the two main characters. Kerri was standoffish, and most of the time very rude and crude. Alex just seemed too arrogant and pompus. Another wonderful story in the series. This time Kerri is doing an interview of a billionaire opening a center for people with gambling addiction. His mother died when he was young. Not my favorite plot, and I really didn't like Alex far into the story.
I did like Kerri, but part of her story seems improbable. The writing style and storytelling makes this a worthwhile book and an enjoyable read. I am not a gambler so Kerri's fascination with all forms of betting had me chewing the ends off my fingers with worry. Would the hero, Alex, finally give up on her and let her slide down the tubes to penury? Would Kerri finally acknowledge her problem before she lost her money, her lover and her self respect? I was really worried for the pair of them and couldn't put the book down.
