But it turned out to be a critique of some of the miracles that are associated with the lives of Sri Ramakrishna and Maharshi Raman.

Pages after pages of dry neurological research material The Author tries to reduce everything to neurobiology and seems determined to prove his reductionist conclusions by omission of data which don't confirm with his preconceived ideas. Read the book a year after purchase. Shourie tends to write informative books but bores us with detail. Personal tragedies may have affected the author but he could at least make the text livelier. Also his recent statements seem to suggest a lot of false ego something he warns readers against in this text.

One person found this helpful. I found the book thought provoking. He has delved into the realms of neurology and busted the myths sorrounding Supernatural abilities of Saints.
