Lists with This Book. May 22, Pauline rated it liked it. I used this as Sunday School material for a Jr Hi girls class. I liked the topics that Ms George covered and but added more scripture with the discussion of the chapters.
As we worked through the book, we made homemade journals and kept notes of the main points, Scriptures, journal during the week and chose memory work as well. It usually took 2 weeks per chapter. Aug 27, Andrea Thom rated it liked it. Like that there are resources to inspire girls who be well-behaved, but the emphasis is on the behaviour of the girl rather than the awesomeness of Jesus.
Apr 09, Mandy J. Hoffman rated it it was amazing Shelves: It's a Tween Adventure in 10 easy and fun chapters!
I love the fact that Elizabeth George has taken such wonderful spiritual truth and put into a format for younger girl's to enjoy just like their mom's have enjoyed in A Woman After God's Own Heart. This book takes God's Word and applies it to the lives of 8 through 12 year-olds. Although my 7-year-old enjoyed it, too. It's part story, part devotional, part workbook, part fun and games! I found this book to be relevant, catchy, fun, and full of Biblical truth.

It's great for an older girl to do alone, a younger girl to do with Mom, or for any girl's club or Sunday school class to use together. It is easy-to-use and the layout is appealing and interactive. This makes a great gift for any young girl in your life whether it be on a special holiday or for a simple act of encouragement. This is a devotional that my daughter and I are currently working through. And while I was trying not to get ahead of her, I wanted to see what was coming! I originally selected this book for our weekly times together because of its topics my heart, my space, my parents, my family, my school, my friends, my church, my self, my time, my adventure with Jesus.
LOVE the topics presented.
A Girl After God’s Own Heart®
Very clear and concise. I would say more like My daugh This is a devotional that my daughter and I are currently working through. My daughter is twelve, and while we are enjoying our time together and have a lot of discussion about the topics, it IS a bit juvenile for her not the topics themselves, but the presentation.
Mar 14, Joanne Sher rated it really liked it. Enjoyed this - Elizabeth George, as usual, does a wonderful job of sharing struggles with those she writes for - in this case, tweens.
Probably a bit old for my girl she's 7 but wants to be a tween LOL , but I'm sure it will be super helpful and encouraging to her in a couple few years. Jan 25, Caroline Kraft rated it really liked it. I worked through this in Summer with a group of 3rd-6th grade girls.
Oct 21, Amanda Barrett rated it it was amazing. I read this as a young girl and can not wait to share it with my daughters!
